Segment Two: Jen Elgin from ATI Physical Therapy talks with Steve and Dr.hip-pain-snapping-hip Bush-Joseph about the transition from recreational running to marathon competition; proper marathon training-rest, diet and hydration; evaluating physical deficiencies before moving up from shorter races; importance of hip, glute and abductor strength; define, identify and evaluate overuse injuries; consideration of length, duration and intensity of workout for use of sports drinks vs. water.
