As you ring in the New Year, what thoughts and feelings are front of mind for you? Are you making resolutions and setting goals and intentions for the coming 365 days? Are you contemplative about the past and looking forward to what’s in store for you in 2016? Are you apprehensive about changes that are coming down the pike?

At KMHC, we are entering this new chapter with so much gratitude and excitement because we have a lot of innovative offerings to unveil this year. The first is Master Your Metabolism, a new 14 Day Transformation designed to help you optimize your body’s fat-burning potential.

We couldn’t have possibly pulled our new offerings together without getting CLEAR on our mission and purpose and honing in on the areas of wellness that mean the most to us—and that give us the most joy to share with you. Spending time creating a vision map of where you want to go is the first important step in laying the foundation of getting to where you ultimately want to be in life.

Whether you want to take one step to improve your health (such as giving up coffee or cutting back on sweets) or you want to completely revamp your lifestyle, it ALL begins by uncovering what makes you feel most alive, and by leveraging that as motivation to take action.

Here’s a prompt that can help you get started articulating your vision:

Identify what you truly love in life and how you want to be in life.

Carve out a few minutes to quietly contemplate this and journal what comes to you. It’s important to note that there are no right or wrong “answers” to this. Whatever ideas or thoughts that bubble up are valid and worth writing down! These are often messages from your unconscious mind that can be used as valuable fuel to help you stay connected and achieve your deepest desires.

During the upcoming Master Your Metabolism 14 Day Transformation, we will spend time during our first group call together going through exercises to help you map out your vision for 2016 and beyond. If this is something that doesn’t come easily to you, but is something you know is valuable, this accountability can help keep you on point with your life’s purpose so you reach your goals.

We’re most excited about this new Transformation because it represents a departure for us and a deep dive into an area of wellness that delivers measurable results. In a nutshell, you’ll learn expert tips for making your body run at most efficiently.

My Favorite Expert Tip

Eat three meals a day.

By eating three meals a day instead of snacking between meals, you’re basically doing a mini-fast between meals and training your body to burn fat.

A widely popularized theory to stabilize blood sugar is to eat 5–6 small meals throughout the day. But that theory has its problems…. When your body is being fed every 2–3 hours, it will not be encouraged to burn any of its stored fat for energy. If it’s being fed constantly, it simply won’t bother going to your fat stores for energy. However, when you eat 3 meals a day and have ample time between meals, your body is forced to burn stored fat. Once fat is restored as an active fuel supply, you’ll enjoy the benefits of increased energy, more stable moods, greater mental clarity, better sleep, fewer cravings, and natural—permanent weight management.
